Agriturismo within walking distance of a village between Umbria and Tuscany

I had been looking for some time for an agriturismo in Umbria that could meet the needs of my clients, but usually there was still something missing. When I arrived here, I immediately felt that this agriturismo has to offer what many of my clients are looking for. A perfect location (within walking distance of a village), a large swimming pool, a playground for children and with beautiful views over the valley.

The owners gave me a delicious cup of coffee on the veranda of the bar. With enthusiasm and pride they told me about their agriturismo on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. The location is ideal and strategically located for excursions; Lake Trasimeno is about 25 minutes by car, the lovely city of Perugia an hour by car and in less than an hour you can reach Tuscan towns like Montepulciano and Pienza. Siena is just over an hour away, but absolutely worth the drive!

Agriturismo within walking distance of a village

The agriturismo is within walking distance (ca.1 km) from a beautiful characteristic village where you will find bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The road to the village is paved and there is a sidewalk so it is easily accessible both on foot and by car. In just 20 minutes you can walk to the best gelateria in the village where they have an amazing number of flavors. So you can taste a different kind of ice cream every day! 

Apartments with private outdoor space

The agriturismo consists of 16 apartments (2 bilocali with 1 bedroom, 10 trilocali with 2 bedrooms and 4 trilocali suite apartments, with 2 bedrooms and air conditioning), divided into 4 buildings with 4 apartments each. The furnishing is in classic Tuscan style, well cared for and with attention to detail.

All apartments have an entrance on the ground floor with a private outdoor area. Some apartments have a terrace with table and chairs on the ground floor, others have a balcony with table and chairs at the back and are built above another apartment (the photos show this position more clearly). All apartments have a dishwasher. Only the trilocale suite apartments have air conditioning. The bilocale and trilocale standard apartments do not have air conditioning.

Bar, breakfast and shared dinners

The agriturismo has a small square that is used as a meeting place for guests. There is also the bar where you can go every day in high season for a coffee or an aperitif. In mid and low season the bar is not guaranteed to be open, but you can always go to the nearby village for a coffee or an aperitif in one of the bars.

Breakfast is for a fee and by reservation. In high season, if there is sufficient interest, breakfast is served on the veranda of the bar, otherwise you will be given a breakfast basket to take to your apartment. This breakfast basket consists of hot drinks, fruit juice, yogurt, cereal, bread, butter, jam and various sweets. Also in mid and low season, the breakfast service consists of a breakfast basket at your apartment (for a fee and with a minimum number of persons).

In high season, from Monday to Friday, the agriturismo organizes a shared dinner. This can be a pizza night, a fish-based dinner, a traditional dinner or a tasting of local products. For lovers of cooking, it is possible to attend a cooking class, with a minimum number of people. The cooking class is followed by a dinner with the home-made dishes.

In the mid- and low season, shared dinners are organized only with a minimum of 10 people. Of course, you can also go to one of the cozy restaurants in the village. A walk of about 10 minutes, so you do not necessarily have to take the car.

E-mountain bike rental and excursions

At the reception you can rent e-mountain bikes. In the area, excursions are organized several times a week throughout the year, with e-bikes! These excursions are organized on request and with a minimum number of people. The routes are adapted to the desired level of the participants, they last about 3 to 4 hours and end with a delicious tasting of local products.

Swimming pool, soccer field and playground

The agriturismo has many nice facilities for children. There is a large swimming pool of 19 x 9 meter with sunbeds and a meadow with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. For the little ones there is a slide, swing and playhouse. For older children there is a ping pong table and a small soccer field. Near the small square there is also an area where the children can play together.

A nice centrally located agriturismo between Tuscany and Umbria and just one km by foot from a village with bars, restaurants and supermarket. Ideal for families with children of all ages. But also a perfect base for those who want to discover the nice towns in this part of Italy or go out by e-bike or mountain bike.
