Elegant agriturismo with beautiful view of Lake Garda  

There are those agriturismos I simply MUST have.  I found this one on the internet, and after many attempts, I finally got an appointment. So off to Lake Garda! From the road that runs around the lake it is only a short drive up the mountain to get to the agriturismo. What immediately struck me were the beautiful views of the lake and the (snow-capped) mountains beyond. On the other side of the agriturismo, you have a beautiful view of the nearby golf course. In spite of the proximity of the lake, the agriturismo is wonderfully quiet.

If you want to be where the action is, it’s only a 15-minute drive to Desenzano, and a 30-minute drive to the lively towns of Salò and Riva del Garda. Visiting famous  Sirmione takes about 60 minutes by car. In the close vicinity of the agriturismo there are several restaurants, two of them in walking distance (ca. 500 meters).

The proprietor of the agriturismo used to work for Maserati, but after those hectic years, he wanted a quieter life. And they found that here, in the countryside near Lake Garda. The proprietor is happy to give you advice on the surrounding region, and he can also accompany you on mountain-bike or Nordic Walking trips. Golf enthusiasts can get their heart’s desire at the nearby golf course.

The agriturismo was built in a small church, an old rectory and a stately old mansion. The proprietors have recently completely renovated these three buildings, and fitted them with all   modern conveniences and given them a very attractive interior. One mile further up the mountain, they also have a charming independent house consisting of two apartments with a heated swimming pool and spectacular views of the lake. The garden of the villa is beautifully landscaped with old olive trees and there is a small pool. On the edge of the garden there is a sun deck with sun beds, where you can enjoy the lovely view of Lake Garda in peace and quiet. The agriturismo furthermore has a fresh bread service. When you order the buns that you want in the evening, they will be there for you in the morning, in a cute wine basket. Upon your arrival, a jar of home-made jam, a bottle of milk, and butter are waiting for you in the fridge.

The apartments

In total there are 8 comfortable apartments with one or two bedrooms. The former rectory has two one-bedroom apartments with spacious living rooms and open kitchens. In the villa, there are 7 apartments: the three two-bedroom apartments on the ground floor have their own private garden. On the first floor are two apartments and on the top floor is an apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms and a roofed balcony (no lake view). All apartments have wifi, airconditioning and satellite TV.

This elegant agriturismo is set in a beautiful location between Lake Garda and a golf course. The comfortable apartments have a warm, inviting atmosphere and are ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, while the lively lakeside towns are close at hand.
