Authentic and stylish stay among the hills of Monferrato
While exploring the southern part of Monferrato, my attention was drawn to a charming yellow house on a hill, offering stunning views and an air of refinement and tranquility. Curious, I reached out to the owner. Her story — about how she and her husband exchanged their busy lives in Milan for this peaceful spot — immediately resonated with me. After all, I too moved from the bustling city of Milan to the quiet Italian countryside after an exciting yet hectic time. So I fully understand why she wanted to create a dream place for her family and guests, away from it all. The love and care with which they built their B&B is felt in every detail.
The bed & breakfast is located in the heart of the UNESCO-protected infernot region — a wine area that still feels wonderfully authentic. The rolling hills of southern Piedmont are dotted with vineyards, winding country roads, and small villages. It's the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The country house sits surrounded by greenery, with panoramic 360-degree views over the hills of Monferrato. Here you'll find peace, space, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Eleonora and her family quite literally open their home to you and make you feel welcome from the very first moment.
Comfortable rooms in soft tones
Part of the house is reserved for guests and has its own entrance, a cozy breakfast room, and a ground-floor double room. On the first floor, you'll find two additional spacious double rooms.
Each of the three rooms has been carefully decorated, with its own unique style and color palette. The interior is light and natural, with great attention to comfort and tranquility. All rooms have air conditioning and a well-kept private bathroom. An extra bed or baby cot is available upon request.
In the morning, Eleonora treats you to a homemade breakfast made with local products. During the low season or on cooler days, breakfast is served in the inviting breakfast room with large windows; in nice weather, you can enjoy it outside on the terrace overlooking the village.
At any time, you can help yourself to the honesty bar with coffee, herbal teas, water, and small treats.
Enjoy a picnic in the garden or on the go
A special detail is the option to order a picnic basket filled with local delicacies. The owner has created an idyllic picnic spot in the garden, with a lovely view of the village opposite. You can also take the basket with you on an e-bike or Vespa ride — which she can arrange for you upon request.
Another highlight is the private wine cellar, where exclusive dinners can be organized for B&B guests on request. Year-round, you can also enjoy a merenda sinoira — the Piedmontese version of an extended aperitivo, featuring a selection of local antipasti and a glass of wine. The merenda is usually served in the garden or the breakfast room, but can also be held in the wine cellar for a small surcharge of €5 per person.
All extras are available on request and for an additional fee, and must be booked a few days in advance. Eleonora is happy to help you plan.
In short
A stylish, peaceful, and personal retreat with an eye for detail — located in one of Piedmont’s most beautiful regions. The welcoming owner is happy to assist with restaurant or winery reservations and can offer suggestions for bike routes or other activities. An ideal destination for those who appreciate peace, charm, and a warm welcome, far from the tourist crowds.
Please note: the B&B does not have a swimming pool, but it does feature a beautiful garden with sweeping views — and there’s a jacuzzi in the garden as well.
