A perfect agriturismo for families, just 20 minutes from the beach

The road to this agriturismo took me along a narrow dike beside a canal, through a quiet countryside dotted with early 20th-century farmhouses. On arrival, I was immediately struck by how beautifully the historic villa has been restored. The exterior retains its authentic charm, while the interior is equipped with all modern comforts. Great care has clearly been taken to preserve original features, resulting in a pleasant balance between character and comfort. This is exactly the kind of agriturismo I like to recommend to my guests – and one I would happily stay at myself. I was warmly welcomed by Stella and her mother, who proudly showed me around. With great enthusiasm, they receive their guests and create a warm, personal atmosphere.

Sea, beach, and lively coastal towns

The agriturismo is located about 20 minutes from the Adriatic Sea. In the area, you’ll find long sandy beaches, where you can choose between well-equipped beach clubs with loungers and umbrellas or quieter, free-access beaches. Within short driving distance are several well-known seaside resorts, such as Bibione, Caorle, Lido di Jesolo and Cavallino. These towns are great for strolling through lively streets with shops, walking along the promenade, and enjoying a drink on one of the many terraces. Inland too, there are lovely towns to visit, such as the charming Portogruaro.

Venice, UNESCO World Heritage

Despite the crowds, I still recommend a day trip to Venice. With its lagoon, canals, and the famous St. Mark’s Square, the city is truly one of a kind and absolutely worth seeing. To avoid parking hassles, it’s best to go by train or boat – the reception is happy to provide practical tips.

Large pool with friendly restaurant and bar

What really stands out at this agriturismo is the large swimming pool, with a cozy bar and bistrot right next to it, where you can enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. It’s a popular spot for locals as well, which adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. At the same time, a separate area is always reserved for agriturismo guests, so you’re guaranteed a spot by the pool or in the restaurant.

The bar opens daily around 8 a.m. and is available for breakfast. Throughout the day, you can stop by for a drink, an ice cream, or a light meal. There are no fixed dinner hours, so if you’d like to eat early with the children, that’s absolutely fine. Many families also use a baby monitor so the kids can sleep while the parents enjoy dinner together in peace.

Seven family-friendly, modern apartments

The comfortable apartments overlook the surrounding landscape and are practically laid out with calm, light colours. Each apartment features an open-plan living room and a fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, dishwasher, and microwave. Bathrooms come with a shower. There are one-bedroom (bilocale) and two-bedroom (trilocale) apartments available. Some units can accommodate an extra bed. All apartments have Wi-Fi, television, mosquito screens, air conditioning, and a washing machine. Outdoors, there are shared terraces and garden areas, with plenty of tables and chairs in both sun and shade.
